Summer Movies Not To Miss!

movie cornSummertime means swimming, barbecues, and tanning. But most importantly: it means summertime blockbuster season is among us! Summer is prime time for some of the most anticipated movies of the year. There are so many summer movies coming out, that you may lose track of your favorites. But…

I’ve got you covered on what NOT to miss!

movieFirst of all, it’s a summer full of sequels, remakes, and prequels. This weekend, Deadpool 2 will hit theaters. Starring Ryan Reynolds, will this sequel proove to be even more raunchy and bad ass than the last?

Deadpool isn’t the only hero hitting the big screen, as the long awaited Incredibles 2 is set to drop on June 15th. The Incredibles 2 will be a perfect movie to take younger kids to, but if you’re looking for a movie in-between Deadpool 2 and the Incredibles 2, be sure to check out Ant-Man and The Wasp on July 6th.

PosterThis summer is filled with variety!  Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is hitting theaters June 22nd. It’s the second installment of the recently rebooted franchise.

For those of you who want to avoid action movies all together, my top suggestion for the summer is Eighth Grade, out in July. Written & directed by comedian Bo Burnham, it chronicles a very real and comedic coming-of-age story.

While we’re a ways off from Halloween, that doesn’t mean we have to wait to get our fix of scary movies. Hereditary comes out June 8th and looks like the kind of movie that will have you sleeping with the lights on afterward.

And finally, The Spy Who Dumped Me is another comedy coming out August 3rd. While action filled, it’s also full of jokes and two impressive female leads, Mila Kunis and Kate Mckinnon.

Clearly, there is not a lack of options this year for summer movies. Grab your friends, popcorn and happy viewing!
