Rockstar in Residence: Phil Chamberlain

Phil Chamberlain is Creative Allies’ campaign manager and rockstar in residence. When not in the office, Phil is the drummer for a hard rock band called To Speak of Wolves, based in North Carolina. In September, To Speak of Wolves debuted their fourth release, entitled New Bones, via Cardigan Records after coming off a four year hiatus. After a fourteen city tour with Oh, Sleeper, the EP charted as high as #8 iTunes Metal charts and hit multiple Billboard Top Album charts the week of the release.

Brother of Underoath frontman Spencer Chamberlain, Phil has been a professional drummer for more than half his life, touring all over the world with bands including Sullivan and HundredftFaces, in addition to To Speak of Wolves.  The band decided to record the new EP just four months ago after noticing that their social footprint continued to grow. “Most bands of our size can’t just disappear and have people still care about them,” Phil reflected. “And for some reason people still do and and we are grateful.” To Speak of Wolves’ next performance is on October 21 at the South by Sowhat!? Festival in Deep Ellum, Texas.  

Phil uses his experience and contacts in the music industry to secure partnerships with Creative Allies for emerging to celebrity bands to provide brand awareness through millions of impressions and hundreds of original and inspired designs per campaign.  Phil also works behind the scenes to build the campaigns on “My strength is just being out there and talking to people and Creative Allies is a good place for me to do that,” says Phil. “I think bands are looking for new ways to engage their fans and understand what drives merchandise sales. At the core, that’s what Creative Allies does through its design engine and analytics.”
